Now renamed The Green House, this scheme involved the refurbishment and extension to an existing office building to provide ‘Eco’ workspace for charities, non-profit, social enterprises, ethical businesses and local community organisations in vibrant Bethnal Green.
Continuing our longstanding relationship with ARJ Construction we undertook the design & installation of the all new mechanical services that included air conditioning, mechanical ventilation, LTHW heating, centralised hot & chilled water systems, and underfloor heating. Contract value £1,800,000.
The scheme achieved BREEAM Excellent and our highly energy-efficient design incorporated motorised dampers to control air flow to the Trombe wall on the front façade of the building that provides passive heating & cooling.
These dampers, together with the rest of the installation are connected to our BMS to provide fully automated and centralised control of the heating, cooling and ventilation within the building.
