Battledore have completed the restoration of the Grade II* Large Mansion, this involves structure roof repairs with a mixture of refitting existing /new slate roof tiles, new asphalt roofs, storing the existing chimneys and roof lights/ lantern’s plus new lead flashings, box gutters and refurbished RWP.
The facades have been fully stripped of the existing lead paint, structure repairs have been carried out prior to the render repairs to over 30% of the building fabric and then decorated paint finish.
Internally the areas have been fully restored, new MEP Services throughout the building, a platform lift, featured passenger lift, Victorian kitchen, conservation works to existing fire places and decorative ceilings with interpretation fit out works that will provide a museum to the community and apartments at one end of the Mansion overlooking the parkland.
Restoration of the landscape including the structures, recreating the horseshoe pond and including water features and follies to their 19th Century splendor.
New build café and carriage display improving visitor facilities and linking the park with the museum.
