The now “Cleveland House” site 19 St James Square was sold in 1674 and a house was built for the Earl of Essex, in 1720 it was purchased by the Duke of Cleveland, the house was then demolished in 1899 and replaced by a series of public buildings, in 1966 these were replaced by a “contemporary” office building today’s Cleveland House and is one of the premier office buildings in St. James’s and Mayfair.

Battledore undertook the full services fit out on the 2nd Floor of this building, including Ventilation; Cooling & Public Health system to the specific requirements of the Client, The Heating and cooling was fed from ceiling mounted ducted FCU’s supplying conditioned air. Fresh air is supplied by heat recovery air handling units.

This fit out was notable for the outstanding quality of the finishes as befitted an outstanding client.
